Our farm is loacted in the mountains between Brevard and Cashiers, North Carolina. Founded in 2002,it is owned and operated by Corinne Driver. She lives on the farm with her family. Corinne has been riding and teaching for over thirty years. Her showing experience is in Hunters/Jumpers, and Eventing.
The farm sits on over 20 acres with access to hundreds of acres for trail riding. There is a large (80'x180') sand arena with jumps available. The horses enjoy rolling grass pastures with safe wood fencing.The barn has a wide concrete aisle, with eight large stalls and a tack room.
We are a small, family operated horse farm with a casual and fun atmosphere
Boarding: Full board or pasture board available, long or short term. The horses are fed high quality timothy/alfalfa hay and Southern States grain. We cater to each horses' individual needs. The horses are turned out all day, or night, weather permitting. Stalls are cleaned twice daily, bedded in deep pine shavings. Grooming/clipping services are available. Our monthly board prices start at $300 and vary depending on the services provided. Veterinarian, Dr. Beverly Hargus, comes to the farm on a regular basis. Our Farrier, Buck O'Neil, has been taking care of our horses for over seven years. He visits the farm every few weeks and is available for any shoeing emergencies. Buck has over 40 years of experience and is an AFA Certified journeyman farrier. He also attends seminars regularly to keep his skills up to date.
Lessons: Beginner through advanced, English. Corinne has over 25 years experience teaching both children and adults. She has horses and ponies available for all sizes and levels of riders to use in lessons. Beginners will learn basic ground skills (grooming, tacking up) and horsemanship. Our goal is to provide the student with a safe, fun, and educational experience. We offer private and semi-private lessons. In the summer, we offer occasional day camps. Lesson programs can be personalized as needed. Our rates are:$40 for a private lesson, and $30 for a semi-private lesson. Our lessons last approximately 45 minutes to an hour.
Leasing: Horses and ponies are available for full or half lease to the intermediate/advanced rider on a monthly basis. Riding three days a week is considered half lease, while six days is a full lease. Pricing ranges from $200-$400 per month.
Coaching at Shows: We attend local shows in the Western North Carolina area. We also travel to Tryon and F.E.N.C.E. We haul your own horse and/or lesson horses are also available on a limited basis. Coaching/riding as needed. Pricing depends on distance/time involved.
